Overview
Ordergroove merchants needed more than just great products—they needed seamless connections to their favorite tools. Yet, without a centralized hub or optimized integrations, many merchants were left in the dark, struggling to activate and utilize critical services like Klaviyo, Attentive, and Gorgias. As the sole designer, I set out to build an Integrations Page that would not only simplify discovery but also amplify adoption, making Ordergroove an indispensable partner to merchants.

Despite its potential, Ordergroove’s initial integration with Klaviyo faced adoption challenges due to technical constraints and throttling issues during high-volume events.

To address the limitations, I focused on iterative improvements to the integration’s usability and performance. These included:
• Created the Onboarding UX/UI: Designed the Klaviyo setup flow from scratch, providing clear instructions and visual guidance to ensure a seamless configuration process for new merchants.
• Transition to OAuth: Implemented OAuth-based authentication to mitigate throttling issues, ensuring better stability and scalability. The updated system allowed merchants to maintain independent request pools, preventing conflicts during high-volume data transfers.
• Real-Time Sync Enhancements: Collaborated with engineering to optimize event processing, ensuring timely updates for marketing triggers.
Impact
The improvements yielded exceptional results, with the number of active merchants growing from 2 in October 2023 to 115 in May 2024. Merchants reported increased satisfaction due to the streamlined setup and reliable performance, solidifying Klaviyo as a cornerstone integration for Ordergroove.
